Economic Development Commission President resigns

Clem's resignation will be effective Jan 31, 2014 / File

The Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission held a special meeting in the Albany Chamber of Commerce Thursday afternoon to accept a letter of resignation.

It was announced that EDC President Ted Clem will be resigning after being hired for the position in January 2009.

Clem's resignation will be effective January 31.

Clem is leaving to take a position as a senior project manager for the Alabama Department of Commerce in Montgomery.

Justin Strickland has been named interim president effective February 3.
