Albany police are investigating after two vehicles began shooting at one another near the east Albany Dairy Queen on Oglethorpe Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.
APD officials say that a white Volvo and white Impala started shooting at one another while heading towards Sands Drive.
The occupants in the Impala made their way to an appartment complex on Sands and hid out in an apartment located in the Wild Pines Apartment Complex. One of the residents of the apartment returned home shortly after their arrival and told the people to get out and they complied.
After leaving the apartment, they got into a 2007 red Hyundai and were later apprehended by police.
After searching the scene at the apartment complex, police found marijuana and the gun while cocaine was found in one of the cars.
The occupants of the Volvo were taken into custody at a nearby gas station, with one of the men damaging a nearby Lexus while attempting to escape officers.
A total of three people have been taken into custody for questioning at this time.
