Multiple businesses in East Albany were burglarized early Sunday morning.

Shortly after midnight, the Albany Police Department responded to a burglary in progress at Discount Liquors located in the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found that the glass front door had been shattered by an unknown object. No items were taken.

Around 12:45 AM, Albany police officers responded to an alarm call at LaFuentes Mexican Restaurant.

A cash register was damaged but there was no money taken.

In the 200 block of Cordele Road, officers responded to an active alarm around 2:00 AM and found that the front door had been shattered and found a brick on the floor inside of the business. Nothing was taken from this establishment.

Around 2:15 AM, an Albany police officer on patrol saw a window had been shattered at Beauty World located in the 2400 block of Sylvester Road.

The suspect removed the cash register, busted it on the ground and took the money.

At the Hardee's located in the 2300 block of East Oglethorpe Blvd., someone gained access to the building after throwing a brick through the drive-thru window around 3:30 AM.

Store management say a cash register was thrown to the floor. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen.

All of these incidents remain part of an active investigation.
