Drug bust at Superior Creek Lodge

ADDU arrest two and confiscate drugs at hotel. / Dougherty County Jail

The Albany Dougherty Drug Unit made a drug bust at 3 p.m. at the Superior Creek Lodge on Slappey Boulevard.

Officials from Terrell County received information that 22-year-old Ryan Williams was at the hotel so local officials executed an arrest warrant. During the arrest police saw marijuana on a table and arrested 27-year-old Timothy Nichols as well. According to Major Bill Berry the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit obtained a search warrant, and returned to confiscate drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Officials gathered less than 1 ounce of marijuana, 60 Trazodone pills, and drug paraphernalia.

Williams and Nichols are both in the Dougherty County Jail charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a dangerous drug with intent to distribute, and possession of a drug related object. Williams also faces an outstanding burglary warrant from Terrell County.
