      Driving rules on base

The Marine Corps Logistics Base has slightly different driving rules than the non-military world. On base they adhere to national and state laws, however they don't allow talking on a hand held device.

Donnie Baggs, the Inspector General and the Traffic Court Hearing Officer says its all about safety. "You can talk while using a cell phone, but it has to be with a hands free device. Many people forget that on base and receive a citation for it" says Baggs.

The base holds traffic court once a month where they hand out sentences according to the traffic violation. The most common violation is a stop sign violation where a driver doesn't come to a complete stop.
