Driver runs red light causing two car accident

According to Georgia State Patrol, 23-year-old, Michael Lee Jones Jr was the driver of the car pursued by Dougherty County Police, Thursday night.
Jones ran a red light which resulted in him hitting a vehicle driven by, 68-year-old, Ellen James King.
Both were taken to the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
According to GSP, Jones broke several bones after being ejected from his car and King was complaining of chest pains.
There is an arrest warrant out on Jones for simple battery. He's being charged with driving under the influence, fleeing and tempting to elude police, running a red light, 2 stop sign violations and a seatbelt violation.
Multiple law enforcement agencies are at the scene of a two car accident on Oakridge Drive and South Jackson Street in Albany.
According to Georgia State Patrol, there was one vehicle with injuries.
Witnesses tell FOX 31 a driver ran the red light hitting a second car, which had the green light. The second vehicle was traveling on Oakridge Drive.
Witnesses also tell FOX 31 that the first driver that ran the red light was being followed by police.
GSP says the accident happened around 7:43 Thursday night.
