The Water, Gas and Light commission is not moving forward with a proposed $2 million water tower. It was scheduled months ago to go up in a northwest Albany neighborhood soon. It's one that neighbors on Dover Lane felt would cause the property value to plummet. The purpose of the water tower was to alleviate some water pressure issues in the area. The tower is not included in the current budget but Water, Gas and Light Interim General Manager Tom Berry says if they decide to move forward with it, there will be a town hall meeting to discuss it.
