Douglas police see increase in car break-ins

Douglas officials are urging citizens to remove all items from their vehicles whenever they aren't using them.

The Douglas Police Department has seen an increase in entering auto incidents.

Criminals have busted out car windows and stolen several items.

Police say if the items are visible, it could create an inconvenience and loss of property for victims.

Drivers are also warned to make sure their doors are locked whenever the car is sitting idle.
