The Douglas Police Department responded to Flash Foods on East Baker Highway in Douglas around 3:30 am Wednesday morning in reference to an armed robbery.
The store clerk told police two black males entered the location, one approached the county and purchased a cigar and the other filled up a cup with hot coffee. That suspect then threw the coffee at the clerks face, pulled out a large wooden stick, and forced the clerk to go to the register.
The clerk was forced to open the register and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was treated at Coffee Regional Medical Center for burns she sustained from the coffee.
