Dougherty county and two former H.E.A.T. officers are facing a lawsuit. The lawsuit stems from a car crash that killed 33-year-old Milton Wilcox and injured his 56-year-old father.
The suit claims officers Jeremiah Fenn and Oscar Gilliam were "drafting" on 1-16 when the crash happened. It also states Fenn was following closely behind Gilliam, when Gilliam changed lanes to pass Wilcox's vehicle, making it likely that Fenn would not be able to avoid hitting the car.
The lawsuit demands a jury trial and unspecified damages.
