Dougherty County school officials were welcomed on the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany for an open house.

This invitation was an opportunity for the school system to showcase their schools to parents on the base.

DCSS Interim Superintendent Dr. David Mosely says the open house is a way to make families feel accepted into the community.

About 35 educators from Dougherty County schools were in attendance.

Dr. Mosely told parents that he is looking for five star students.
