Domestic violence shelter warns of phone scam
A domestic violence shelter in Colquitt County wants people to know about scammers trying to collect money to aid abuse victims.
Employees at Serenity House say they don't solicit money at local businesses. The shelter has received reports of people asking for money on four occasions.
The incidents were on Veterans Parkway and Main Street. The shelter employees ask that if you receive a call from someone claiming to represent a domestic abuse shelter, call your local law enforcement.
