Members of the Dougherty County School Board met this morning to discuss moving forward in finding a replacement for Superintendent Dr. Sally Whatley.
Discussions centered on public involvement and the board's options in advertising the open position. A decision was made to post an online survey as early as Monday, October 5, to get public opinion on qualifications a candidate should have. The board also decided to hold public forums to reach those who may not be online. Meanwhile, the board received news from the State Department of Education that three schools; Albany Middle, Monroe High, and Westover High all made AYP after summer retests.
