Discussing the dangers of distracted driving
Multiple law enforcement agencies met at South Georgia Technical College Tuesday to build awareness against distracted driving.
Mitchell and Crisp County Sheriff's Offices, Tifton Police Department, Cordele Police Department, Crisp County EMS and the Crisp County Fire Department were in attendance.
Both a victim's wife, Jessica Sears Younce, and Officer David Zehab spoke today about how distracted driving has changed their life and the consequences they face each day because if it.
Sheriff Billy Hancock says these speakers give today's public services a first-hand look at what can happen and how it effects lives. Hancock hopes public safety officers will remember today and when he/she responds to calls, they keep safety in mind.
