A Deerfield-Windsor Knight has committed to the Georgia Bulldog baseball team.
Davis Hines was surrounded by family and friends as he committed to play baseball for the University of Georgia.
The centerfielder earned a scholarship that he says will allow him to fulfill his dream of becoming a bulldog.
Hines grew up as a Georgia fan and can't wait to follow in the footsteps of his two older brothers who also attended the university.
"It's been a dream of mine and a dream of all of my family to have somebody go and play sports there, whether it be baseball or football and I'm just really thankful and grateful that God has blessed me with an opportunity to go play there," said Davis Hines.
Hines says he's looking forward to a state championship and having a successful final season with Deerfield.
