We know you all want to know just how your taxpayer money is being spent.
Some Dougherty County School System leaders have spoke at a recent meeting about some excessive overtime.
This comment was made regarding school resource officers and after school patrol.
From July to December 2013, about $86,000 was spent in overtime to school resource officers and DCSS police.
The school system is currently being studied to learn how it can cut down on that number.
"We want to make sure we minimize the amount of overtime, if possible, without jeopardizing the life and safety of our students and visitors at our events and our schools," DCSS Executive Director of Finance Kenneth Dyer said.
DCSS budgeted about $220,000 in overtime for the fiscal year.
