Dougherty County school superintendant Dr. Joshua Murfree is weighing in on the continuation of the one cent educational SPLOST that voters approved to continue.
Murfree's goal is to use the $100 million dollars to make a difference in Dougherty County's education system.
On Thursday afternoon the superintendant has called a special press conference for the public to hear exactly what his plans are for the future funds.
"I want the right story told. I want other people to hear that story. As the superintendant of the schools I'm going to be a good steward of tax payers money, of the state's money and federal money," said Dougherty County School System Superintendant Dr. Joshua Murfree.
The conference will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the school administration building in downtown Albany.
