      The Dougherty County School System has chosen a new superintendent after one of the finalists withdrew his application.

      The Dougherty County School System has chosen a new superintendent after one of the finalists withdrew his application.DCSS Interim Superintendent David Mosely will now assume the permanent position.The school board announced the withdrawal of Colquitt County Schools Superintendent Samuel DePaul and then went into executive session.Two weeks ago, the DCSS board narrowed the search down to two finalists which included DePaul and Mosely.The 5-2 vote moves the board into contract negation with Dr. Mosely whose current contract was due to expire in June.
