Because of low test scores in Math, Algebra, and Geometry in Dougherty County and state wide, the Dougherty County School System Finance Committee moved that they will recommend to the school board to hire a consulting firm to help give instructional delivery to teachers.

The finance committee reached out to 50 different consulting firms, and out of the 50, four sent back proposals.

The committee chose to use the consulting firm Math Solutions.

If the board approves the decision the consulting firm would be contracted for one year. The contract is worth $68,000.

The next school board meeting is scheduled for September 16th.
