Darton students trade in their textbooks for diplomas
336 students traded in their jeans and baseball caps for a cap and gown on Friday during Darton State College's spring graduation ceremony.
Dean of Institutional Advancement Tracy Goode says this is a huge accomplishment for those students who pursued their career through many obstacles that were thrown their way.
Goode adds that although many of the students will move on to pursue a bachelor's degree and higher at another college, some are ready to enter the workforce which could provide a big asset to Albany businesses.
School officials say this day is a way to show other students who are struggling that hard work pays off and if you don't give up, you can accomplish your goals.
