Darton College is starting its Halloween celebration a little early Monday morning in the way of performance art.

Students, faculty and staff will take turns reading Bram Stoker's Dracula!

Assistant Professor of English, Patrick Garner says other colleges have held marathon readings before with books like 'War and Peace'.

They wanted to start with something timely and fun for students.

"People are encouraged to do voices, to get into character, audience members are encouraged to wear costumes, many of the people doing the reading will be wearing costumes," says Garner.

They hope to finish reading all 27 chapters by midnight.

The reading will take place on the second floor of the new student union.
