Students work all semester preparing for Lee County Dairy Show
Local students from Lee County have spent the past two months preparing for the 6th annual Lee Count FFA Dairy Show.
Local ag students from 4th to 12th grade have spent the last semester working with dairy cows in preparation for Saturday's big competition.
Each student rented a cow back in November.
Over the past two months, they have been training these wild cows to be lead by a halter.
Lee County Middle School East students Ally and Robert competed last year. They look forward to competing again this year and work like to see the community come out to support them.
"Just to see how some small town people can do amazing things and everything like that because most people probably couldn't do what we do," said 7th grader Robert Bell.
There will be over 65 entries competing in this year's show.
The event will start Saturday at 10 a.m. at 1524 York Road in Leesburg.
