Curfew cases low at the start of April

Police praise parents for low curfew cases at the start of April. / From file

First Update (4/5/13)
APD has reported that there have been no new additional curfew warnings issued.

Initial Story (4/2/13)
The number of kids breaking curfew over spring break is seemingly low as April kicks off.

Albany Police report that a year ago they saw 7 instances of kids breaking curfew from January to the end of March, and although that number jumped to 24 over the three month span in 2013, spring break numbers remain low.

The department has only had one case of broken curfew, and that was resolved by the officer returning the child to his parents with a warning.

Authorities say this is a great example of parents stepping up and keeping track of their kids during the spring break holiday.
