      The Sumter County Sheriff's Office has announced that they have seized $35,000 in assets from a crystal methamphetamine drug trafficking network operating in the Sumter County area.

      Officials say that 18 warrants were issued on April 18th and 19th in relation to the investigation.

      Authorities have confirmed the following arrests, with others pending:

      46-year-old James William Wells of Parrot, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance and use of communication facility in commission of a felony.
      49-year-old Ronald Jay Cobb of Columbus, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance, use of communication facility in commission of a felony, and trafficking.
      31-year-old Kristen Leigh Welch of Americus, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance and use of communication facility in commission of a felony.
      30-year-old Shanna Diann Tindel of Americus, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance and use of communication facility in commission of a felony.
      21-year-old Leslie Ryan Huddleston of Americus, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance and use of communication facility in commission of a felony.
      50-year-old Carl James Blaine of Americus, Ga has been charged with sale of a controlled substance and use of communication facility in commission of a felony.
