A traffic stop turned into a foot chase for Sheriff's deputies in Crisp County Tuesday morning.
Deputies say that Tuesday morning a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by two Hispanic males and smelled alcohol on the driver's breath.
Sheriff's officials say that when the deputy went to arrest the driver, he took off across the interstate and into a wooded area near Rockhouse Road.
K9 units were brought in and after a lengthy search, were unable to find the man.
The passenger in the vehicle is being held by the sheriff's office for investigative purposes.
