Cotton farmers are still recovering after Hurricane Irma hit Southwest Georgia almost two months ago.

According to cotton farmer Riley Davis, farmers are having much harder time picking cotton because of the hurricane force winds.

Davis and his team are having to pick up a lot of cotton off of the ground, causing them to move at a much slower pace.

“Patience I guess. Mentally recovering with patience. Physically, we’ve just got to harvest it you know, it is what it is the storm did what it did and we’re making the best we can out of it.”

Cotton season starts around September and can last all the way through December.
