Cordele robbers target same drugstore to steal prescription meds

Cordele Police are trying to find a group of people that broke into the same store twice in one week and took off with almost $2,000 worth of prescription drugs.

Officials say on May 2nd, three suspects broke the front door of Adam's Drug Store on 16th Avenue shortly before 4 a.m. and stole $250 worth of the drugs.

Three days later they set off the alarm of another store nearby, but when officials went to investigate, they realized it was set up as a distraction so they could then go break into Adam's Drug Store again. Officials say 4 people were involved in the second robbery where they stole $1,400 worth of prescription drugs.

If you have information on this case, you're asked to contact the Cordele Police Department or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
