The Junior League of Albany hosted a free event to promote health among children Saturday afternoon.The event is called "Kids in the Kitchen" and features stations where children learn how to make healthy snacks, healthy recipes, about proper water intake, do arts and crafts, get their face painted, and do physical activities including Zumba.Perry Kelly with the Junior League of Albany says this year they had about 150 kids come out and join the activities. Last year the event brought in 120 kids and Kelly says they hope to increase the number of attendance every year.This the second year the Junior League of Albany hosted this event. Publix and Belk helped fund the event by donating food and supplies.
