The Colquitt County High School Marine Corps JROTC got a taste of what it's like to be a real marine Thursday.

Students spent the day at the Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany where they were run through the obstacle course and a combat fitness test.

Students who plan to enter the military say this opportunity offered a small glimpse of what lies ahead.

"It's a small taste of what I'll be doing for the next four years and for the rest of my career so I'm really excited to be here and to be doing everything the Marines prepared for us today," said Dylan Globerman a MCJROTC member.

Globerman will be heading to the United States Naval Academy where he plans to be commissioned as a Marine Corps Officer.
