      Coast Guard Lieutenant delivers important message to graduates

      Students donned caps and gowns Friday evening as they celebrated their graduation from Albany Technical College.United States Coast Guard Station Atlantic City Commanding Officer Lieutenant Commander Moore was the speaker of the night and says he wanted to emphasize to the students the importance of getting back up whenever you're knocked down.Lieutenant Moore says there is such a thing as second chances and opportunity sometimes does knock twice so it's important for the students to realize when it does, especially while possibly entering the workforce during a tough time.He also encouraged students to continue on in their education and says higher degrees are resume builders meant to help you, so students should seriously consider continuing after this point.More than 60 students received their associate degrees while 200 received their diplomas and another 40 got their technical certificate of credit.
