      Clean it and lock it

The Albany Police Department came to Pine Forest Apartments Wednesday morning to talk to people face to face.

"Clean it and Lock it" began today as APD officially launched the clean car campaign to remind people about the safety of their car and prevent the number of entering autos from increasing.

Corporal Brian Covington with APD says that they started this campaign so that it will really stick with people. He adds keeping electronics such as global positioning systems out the car is crucial along with money and purses.

The officers will be moving from east to west Albany talking to people about the campaign and empowering them to remember to "clean it and lock it."
