Civil engineering on the rise in Albany
There's good news for the city of Albany; the city has been ranked number 10 for the best cities for civil engineer according to valuepenguin.com.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that the field of civil engineering is projected to grow 19 percent over the next 10 years.
The website reports that the median salary for a civil engineer in Albany, Georgia is about $79,000 with about 200 jobs in the area for the position.
The number one location on the list was Pueblo, Colorodo and Yuba, Calafornia rounded out the list at number 20.
Mike Talley with H&H Resources says "civil engineering is always in demand, and Albany is a great place for it because its a small town with a lot of opportunities."
