Hundreds lined up at the Hines Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for the Sharing and Caring Ministry event.
The church invited those who are struggling out to collect an array of items from clothing and shoes to furniture and glassware.
Co-chair Sara Barnett says they've helped over 300 people today and people were lined up around the building when she got there.
Barnett says it feels wonderful to help people who need it and the church will continue helping with a Thanksgiving lunch immediately following the giveaway.
The menu includes a list of homemade items made by volunteers from the church.
