No charges are being filed after a 4-year-old child was found after being left behind on a Wee-Care Day Care and Preschool van for close to two hours.
Deputy Chief Lewis Harris, with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, says the child was left on the very back of the bus.
Officials say after picking the child up earlier in the day and arriving at the center, everyone unloaded. An employee did a quick inspection of the van and she overlooked the child.
When the parent arrived at the daycare later to pick up the child, he was not there.
After looking for the child, he was found on the back of the van. It is unclear whether the child was asleep when they found him on the bus.
Paramedics arrived to the scene and inspected the child.
Deputy Chief Harris says the child did not have to be transported to the hospital.
