If you can’t make it to see the animals at Chehaw Park, Chehaw Park is once again able to make it to you.

On Thursday, the Dougherty County Rotary Club gave the keys to the specially designed van to Chehaw.

The old vehicle became unsafe for employees to travel in. Now, Chehaw can continue to teach students in Southwest Georgia and around the state.

“We have to find new ways to accomplish our mission,” Don Meeks, Executive Director, said. “Education is a huge part of our mission, and we're trying to reach out into the community on a regular basis to make that happen."

The Rotary Club and SPLOST money paid for the car.
