Chase leads to trafficking conviction
A man caught with cocaine and marijuana has been convicted on drug trafficking charges.
On Tuesday, a Dougherty County jury found Kevin Harris guilty of seven charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and tampering with evidence.
During a routine stop last December, Harris led police on a chase after being stopped for a having an out-of-date license plate.
As he made his getaway, the suspect began throwing drugs out of the car window.
When officers caught up with Harris, they found loaded firearms and drugs inside the vehicle.
Harris will face sentencing at a later date.
