The National Federation of Independent Business has named Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss a "Guardian of Small Business" due to his voting record in the 112th Congress according to a press release issued this morning.
National Federation of Independent Business President and CEO Dan Danner praised Chambliss for "standing up for small business" and added that "small-business owners pay close attention to how their lawmakers vote on the issues affecting their businesses and employees and stand by those who stand for them.
I am humbled to receive this award, Chambliss said according to the release. Small businesses are the economic engine of this country. I have always worked to protect small businesses, and will continue to do so.
