The National Federation of Independent Business has named Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss a "Guardian of Small Business" due to his voting record in the 112th Congress according to a press release issued this morning.

National Federation of Independent Business President and CEO Dan Danner praised Chambliss for "standing up for small business" and added that "small-business owners pay close attention to how their lawmakers vote on the issues affecting their businesses and employees and stand by those who stand for them."

"I am humbled to receive this award," Chambliss said according to the release. "Small businesses are the economic engine of this country. I have always worked to protect small businesses, and will continue to do so."
