The Albany's Chamber of Commerce is working to bridge the gap between 'Millennials' and 'Baby-Boomers'.

Chamber CEO Chris Hardy spoke to the Dougherty County Kiwanis Club about the progress and challenges of the Chamber.

One obstacle involves developing a relationship between young and older citizens.

The Chamber is working with Emerge Albany on a Leadership Development Division to get more young professionals interested in city and county activities.

"We're not just focusing on the ones that are already involved in the Chamber, we're trying to focus on those that are in that age bracket throughout this entire community even southwest Georgia so we can prepare them and focus on personal development as well as professional development," said Chris Hardy, President and CEO of the Albany Chamber of Commerce.

Hardy says the Leadership Development Division should be active by next year.
