Cash not a concern for commissioners

County commissioners celebrate extra cash after year long struggles.
Ben Hill County has seen a million dollar turn-around in the last year, and the county commission is not being shy about the accomplishment.

From one year ago, the Ben Hill Commission has pushed itself $500,000 dollars into the black, according to County Manager, Frank Feild.

Feild says the accomplishment is something that couldn't have happened without a county wide effort.

"Everyone had a part in this, and it's something we are so thrilled about. Government's aren't supposed to make a profit, so we're just blessed to have this cash and hope we can do more of the same next year," said Feild.

Feild adds it's always nice to have a little breathing room, but the county could have never imagined something like this.
