Car burglar sought by Lee County Sheriff's Office
The Lee County Sheriff's Office needs your help identifying a man attempting and entering autos.
Surveillance video shows a black man attempting and entering automobiles on Chukar Court between 3:50 and 4:00 A.M. on December 4th.
The first car he attempted was locked. The second was not. The suspect used a flashlight to look into the car windows, found an iPod, took it out and quietly closed the door.
Officials say burglars are being sneaky. They don't want to take time breaking glass or prying open doors because of the risk that someone may hear them.
The answer is simple, make sure to lock your car door.
Sheriff Rachals adds, "Don't leave valuables in sight because it will make you a target and, especially if an item is valuable, burglars won't think twice about breaking a window."
