      Businesses busted into overnight by burglars

      Albany police are investigating after two business were broken into early Thursday morning.

      The first burglary happened just before 3 a.m. at Akshar Food Mart on South Mock Road.

      Officers responded after an alarm and noticed a hole in the wall in the rear of the business. Once officers were inside, they saw that an office door was kicked open and money stolen.

      The other burglary happened at Ok Beauty on South Slappey Boulevard shortly after 5 a.m.

      Officers responded to an alarm there as well and upon arrival found that the front door's glass had been broken out and two registers taken.
