Georgia State Patrol officials report to FOX 31 that 21-year-old Isaiah Jackson was the driver of the gray Buick that crashed into a school bus this afternoon near Dougherty Middle School.
Trooper First Class, Jack Stripling says Jackson was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, and driving without a license. Jackson also admitted to being at-fault for the accident, which the GSP report reflects.
At this time both Jackson and his passenger are receiving treatment, however neither are in critical condition according to Stripling.
A Dougherty County School bus collided with a gray car near Dougherty Middle School Monday afternoon in Albany.Officials with the school system say that no children were onboard at the time and that the bus driver did not sustain any injuries.However, the two occupants within the gray car have been taken away from the scene by Dougherty County EMS.Along with EMS officials, Georgia State Patrol and the Albany Police Department are investigating the crash.Stay connected to MySouthWestGA.com as stories develop and the FOX 31 Newscast at 10 PM.
