A Florida school bus driver was caught on video texting and driving.

That bus driver didn't break the law, because officials say texting while driving isn't considered illegal in the state of Florida.

As you can imagine the issue has called a lot of parents to be outraged.

Parent, Mandy Rampy isn't so sure about her children riding school buses.

Rampey says, "what kind of background checks to these people have, what kind of driving records do these professionals have. Neither one of us know so how can we trust them?"

Thankfully there was no accident but Christopher Richardson with the Albany Police Department says it's still an extremely risky thing to.

"The stopping distance for a bus is a greater than a car and the more weight you add to it and the more people that are being transported even adds to that factor not to mention the fact that we're talking about children."

The bus driver caught in question was removed from her route, and officials add if you suspect distracted driving in your area, contact police.
