Buffalo Wild Wings launching with a bang
Fox 31 got a sneak peek into what the restaurant looks like so far and the first thing you can't help but notice is the 30+ flat screen televisions. Buffalo Wild Wings features indoor and outdoor seating, a large bar, and sports paraphernalia decorating the walls from local, regional, and national sports teams. Assistant General Manager Kristy Jenkins says they'll be the only local place to broadcast UFC fights and they look forward to large sports crowds.
Restaurant managers are currently interviewing potential hires every day because they're looking to hire 145 people. Assistant General Manager Carla Headman says they're looking for all different kinds of positions to fill and the personalities to match the restaurant. "We're looking for cashier greeters, bartenders, servers, and of course the heart of the house which is our cooks. People who work at Buffalo Wild Wings love it and we want people in Albany who are going to come to work, do a great job, and have fun" says Headman. Hiring is Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
When Buffalo Wild Wings opens their doors, they also have a promotion that may have people at their doors days ahead of time. "You can line up days before, you can camp out, but it is what it says! The first 100 people get free wings for a year" says Jenkins.
