The Boys and Girls Club of Albany hosted a "Family Day" today for the entire community to enjoy.
Families were able to play games, enjoy free food, and learn information from various businesses and community agencies.
The Boys and Girls Club Unit Director Michael Nelson says it's important to get parents to attend the events so they can get the opportunity to learn about resources available to them. "We'd like to establish a partnership with the community and let them know that we're not here just for fun, but education, and getting parents involved in what their children are doing" says Nelson.
The Boys and Girls Club says they plan to host more family days this year.
