Thursday there was a blizzard in southwest Georgia that brought in big dollars for those in need.

The 'Blizzard of Miracles' was part of Dairy Queen's 'Miracle Treat Day'.

Out of every Blizzard ice cream sundae sold, one dollar was donated to the Children's Miracle Network.

The money will stay in the southwest Georgia to help children at local hospitals.

Albany Dairy Queen employees say they had quite a busy day.

"We have seen a lot of people coming in today. There was a customer who bought like ten blizzards," said Ishan Desai, Dairy Queen cashier.

Last year companies raised $5 million dollars nationwide a result of the 'Miracle Treat Day' campaign.
