Black Panther takes over the box office
ALBANY, Ga. —
The newest Marvel movie, Black Panther, is taking over the box office, and is selling out shows across the country.
Forbes says Thursday’s big premiere made an incredible $25.5 million, and that's just the beginning for what it can make this weekend.
Between the premiere on Thursday and Friday, everyone is getting in the spirit, and they're dressing up for the culture.
The Albany Business League held a special private screening on Thursday night, and it sold out with more than 400 tickets.
Movie goers say they're excited to see it especially since this is a big moment in history.
"In my lifetime, I can't recall there ever being an African American superhero to come see,” Myles McCoy said.
