Berrien drug bust sends one to the joint
After receiving information about a suspected marijuana growth at a residence off of Aubrey Sutton Road in Nashville, GA, an investigation was conducted to confirm or deny the allegations by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office .
Investigators conducted surveillance and were able to confirm the presence of suspected marijuana plants on the aforementioned property.
A search warrant was obtained for the property located at 68 Aubrey Sutton Road, Nashville, GA.
On September 24th, deputies executed the search warrant and recovered five marijuana plants ranging from six to twelve feet in height. A significant amount of harvested marijuana was recovered from inside the residence as well.
The combined weight of the marijuana seized during the search was 20 pounds, worth about $20,000.
52-year-old, Sonny Michael Hancock, was arrested and transported to the Berrien County Jail facing possible charges of trafficking marijuana.
