The Albany Fire Department is warning you about a "possible" rabid fox.

A firefighter with the fire department was at the Station 4 on Gordon Avenue when a fox approached him.

He felt there could've been something wrong with the fox because it was not scared of the fire fighter and actually started circling him before it ran away.

Officials say if you live in the area, be aware.

Chief James Carswell with the Albany Fire Department says, "in most cases animals are afraid of humans and so if they're acting strange, the best thing to do is get away and call animal control to come in and take care of the problem."
