For those of you who have raised questions about AT&T's coverage in Southwest Georgia is less than par, your issues may soon be repaired.
AT&T is building two new cell sites in Albany: One near Leary Road by the airport and another near Philema Road in the Lake Worth area.
"It enables people to make and receive calls in those areas so it just expands our network, and it's an additional investment in Albany and Dougherty economy. It will create jobs and spur economic growth," says Courtney Brinson, Regional Director of External Affairs with AT&T.
He says more cell sites require maintenance workers and possibly more sales representatives.
Brinson say the coverage improvements will especially help those with smart phones, wanting to use more data and applications.
